An 8" x 10" oil on panel painting of a VF-112 F9F-2B of the US Navy during the Korean War. This airplane, flown by LCdr. W.T. Amen, skipper of the squadron, shot down a MiG-15 on November 9, 1950, becoming the first US Navy jet aerial victory over another jet.
Douglas Castleman is an award-winning artist and photographer based in Los Angeles (Torrance, California).
