That's a rare honor! Any photos of him? I'm going to the Reading WW2 Weekend tomorrow. Really excited because they have full scale battle re-enactments with heavy armor and infantry. Not too mention a huge vending area which I'm going to check out closely because I'm thinking about vending there when I have enough material to display. Maybe next year! I saw Gunnery Sgt. R. Lee Earmy there a few years ago. He wanted 50 bucks to take a photo with him, and if you paid it, he would pretend to be your best friend for a minute. lol Again, nice work on the painting.

No photos, but he was charging for them and I was just a broke teenager, but my father was with me and he knew him, so I got to briefly chat with him anyway. Hope you have/had fun at the WW2 Weekend event.

This was my favorite plane for decades. Nothing looked better than those bent gull wings and I loved watching Blacksheep Squadron. Cool angle and nice work.
